As part of the NUM Festival organized by Bibliothèques de Laval, Ada X is offering two popular workshops with artists-in-residence from past cohorts.

Ada X offers a virtual tour and an drop-in 3D digitizing workshop on tablet (IPAD) with the artist Katherine Melançon. With a virtual reality headset or through a screen, participants are invited to discover «Nature morte : restes de table» , where they can wander through giant leftovers of forgotten, ugly, overly bitter or smelly foods to give them a second life. In a second phase, participants learn to digitize their own leftover snacks in 3D using a tablet, so that they in turn can compose a still life that will be integrated into the Allo Ada* virtual space. The space created by the participants becomes a new playground (and hiding place!) that can be visited by several people at the same time using a virtual reality headset or computer.

*Allo Ada is a virtual space for discovery, animation and encounters with artists, created by Ada X with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
