How does a recipe resemble a cartography?

Join us next week for our final residency presentation of the year. By re-creating their Aunt’s recipe for Fen Zheng Rou (Steamed Pork with Rice Flour) and compiling the oral histories of Jing’s immigration experience, Yutong Lin, in collaboration with Yufeng Zhao, configured an immersive and multisensory virtual space to share this experience in VR. Come early to have the time to take a peak! An artist talk will follow at 7:30 PM moderated by May Chew, Assistant Professor, Cinema and Art History, at Concordia University. May Chew’s research focuses on interactive and immersive technologies in diverse museum and exhibit spaces across Canada, and how these technologies facilitate the material practice of nation and cultural citizenship.
