The cultural organizations of 4001 Berri invite you to take part in Lantern of 4001 Berri, a neighborhood event that combines a workshop, a parade in the park, ambulatory performances, followed by an outdoor screening in front of the 4001 Berri building. This event is free and accessible to all.
Schedule
- 1 pm – 4 pm: Family friendly ongoing lantern making workshop as part of the Media Arts for Family exhibition at Studio XX (4001 Berri, door 201)
- 16 h – 18 h : booklet and printmaking workshop with Pata Macedo in the MobileArtLab in front of the 4001 Berri
- 6 pm – 8 pm: Family friendly ongoing lantern making workshop at parc La Fontaine (corner of de la Roche and avenue du Parc-La Fontaine)
- 8 pm: Gathering at parc La Fontaine (corner of de la Roche and avenue du Parc-La Fontaine)
- 8:30 pm – 9 pm: Parade of lanterns in the parc La Fontaine towards the 4001 Berri with ambulatory performances *Bring your own DIY, LED lantern or come make one at one of our workshops!
- 9 pm – 10:30 pm: Video projections on the windows of 4001 Berri – the street will be closed for the occasion.

Lantern of the 4001 Berri is an initiative from the different cultural organizations in media arts located at 4001 – OBORO, Studio XX, Groupe Intervention Vidéo (GIV). For the occasion, the Conseil québécois des arts médiatiques and the studio Xangle – Eric Paré will offer their windows located on the ground floor for the projection of video works.
