Contact microphones pick up the sound vibrations that hit hard surfaces. They are fantastic way to explore the little sounds it’s easy to otherwise miss, and they are cheap, easy and fun to build. On Saturday the 18th of june from 1pm to 5, Studio xx will be hosting a contact mic building workshop.
Bring your own soldering iron and $18 to cover costs. Afterwards we will be playing with the microphones together to see what kind of sounds we can create.
Space for this workshop is limited to 8 people.
