Ada X regularly offers introductory media arts workshops for young people. In the Speculative Storytelling with Machine Learning workshop, participants discover machine learning by following coding instructions to generate a text from their own selection of stories. The process can be paused, stopped, and restarted multiple times, with outputs varying according to the AI’s own learning curve, and the resulting texts can be surprising, funny, or poetic. Each participant returns home with a copy of their text!
