Adina Edwards

Vancouver-based Adina Edwards is a visual artist and communications PhD candidate at Simon Fraser University committed to dissecting social justice through extraordinary mediums. Exhibiting publicly since 1998, some of Adina’s career highlights include being part of Gallery Gachet’s Sticks And Stones exhibit in 2003 and The Kleinsteuber Gallery’s Red is Best exhibit in 2005. Her critically acclaimed piece Behind The Red Curtain, a dedication to her experiences working as a social worker, was shown at both the Little Gallery, in Calgary, in 2008, and at the Nickle Arts Museum, in 2009, as part of Cipher, the University of Calgary’s MFA Grad Show. She has also been an artist in residency at The Banff Centre in 2010. She continues to explore the connections of social change and harm reduction through her current PhD research, as well as her work as a community social worker at Vancouver’s Raincity Housing and Support Society.
