Ahreum Lee

Originally from Seoul, Ahreum Lee is a multidisciplinary artist and musician based in Montreal since 2016. She holds a degree in Media Arts from Kaywon University of Art & Design, and an MFA in Intermedia from Concordia University. Her work questions socio-political issues that have been embedded in technologies used every day, such as Google Maps, Predictive Text Algorithms, and AI virtual assistant voices. Through CGI, web-based imagery, performance, sculpture and video, she examines how the power dynamics of contemporary technologies influence our emotions and our conception of reality.
