Annick Girard
With a Master’s degree in environmental sciences and a specialization in environmental education, Annick Girard proposes a model for a sustainable and resilient world. She is involved in social and environmental issues through daily consumer choices, civic involvement and her professional career (Éco-quartier, Environnement Jeunesse, Katimavik, Institut des Sciences de l’Environnement and Équiterre). She is currently working on the development of waste reduction initiatives at the source. It is from this perspective that she has led a pan-Canadian study on obsolescence, and has created Touski s’répare, a community of practices aimed at facilitating the repair of everyday objects.
