Annie Maheux

Annie is a visual artist working primarily with food and performance, or Eat Art. She completed studies in theatre design at Concordia University in 2015, and in cooking at the Institut de Tourisme et d’Hôtellerie du Québec in 2017. From 2015 to 2018, Annie co-produced a puppet creation company with children in schools, which took her from Nunavut to Senegal to South Africa. After a year of Eat Art projects in the Netherlands and Germany, she is back in Montreal this year to coordinate the video installation project Living with Ataxia in collaboration with  Magdalena. In her spare time, Annie is an avid runner and long-distance biker. You will often see her accompanied by her redheaded Nordic dog Trax, who follows her everywhere.
