Ariane Plante

Based in Montreal, Ariane Plante is an artist in media and visual arts, as well as a curator and author. With a university degree in anthropology, she has been working in the arts since 2006. Multiple-time recipient of grants from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) and Première Ovation, her work has been presented in Quebec, Canada, and France, as well as various online platforms and digital publications. She is now beginning a body of work on silence as it exists in landscapes, for which she received a CALQ Research and Exploration grant. Having curated the 2016, ‘17 and ‘18 editions of Mois Multi, Quebec City’s international festival of multidisciplinary and electronic arts, she now also works as an independent curator and artistic advisor, collaborating with various artists and organizations in contemporary art.
