Channel Two
Adam Trowbridge and Jessica Westbrook collaborate as Channel TWo (CH2), a research and development media outlet for a post-network era. CH2 happens slightly above the noise level, between the words that organize communities and the chaos that lies beyond them, between the authorized formats and unauthorized ideas, between systems of control and radical togetherness. Drawing from business models and corporate histories, CH2 works with mixed reality, entertainment, hyper-identification, web metrics, communication platforms, and distribution systems as the materials of their practice(s). CH2 was awarded a Rhizome Commission in 2012, a Turbulence Commission in 2011, and a Terminal Commission in 2010. Both Trowbridge and Westbrook are Assistant Professors of Art at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
