Danièle Racine

Danièle Racine has been implicated in the Quebecois cultural community since many years, particularly as coordinator for projects and organizations in media arts. With a degree in Journalism, she subsequently completed a Master’s in Sociology, specializing in contemporary culture, media and political philosophy. She practiced cultural journalism before becoming Video Project Producer for Zone Productions (1989 – 1994), Special Projects Coordinator at La Centrale (Powerhouse Gallery, 1994 – 1998) and Assistant Director at the Société des arts technologiques (1998 – 2000). Mouvement réel, her first video documentary carried out in 1998, presents diverse artistic practices which explore new media. Her upcoming video project elaborates upon the integration of communication networks in the creative process.
