Ellen Tang

Since graduating from Queen’s University, Ellen Tang has worn many hats in documentary production, video art, writing and editing. Her short films “medicine” and “Girl Any More” have screened at festivals across Canada and internationally. She is also a founding member of MAKILA, a Montréal cooperative dedicated to socially relevant new media. While she experiments using different tools, a preoccupation with issues of culture and identity is a constant theme in her work. Born in Hong Kong, Ellen speaks English, French and Cantonese.
