Emmanuelle Loubet

Emmanuelle Loubet is a radio producer, new media and web project developpersound hunter and designer, writer, researcher and professor. After graduating in 1981 with an MA in musicology at the Sorbonne, Emmanuelle Loubet attended the Technical University of Berlin with a DAAD scholarship. From 1981 to 1986, she conducted research on Claude Shannon’s Information theory, and on electronic music, simultaneously teaching herself computer music, leading to a PhD in musicology from the Sorbonne. In 1986, she established herself in Tokyo, workingas a radio producer specializing in documentary and drama programsfor major European public radio networks, particularly ARD (Germany). Since 1996, she redirects to new media and makes numerous works for CD-ROM, virtual reality (VRML) or for the Web. In 2009, she obtained a Webmaster certificate in site design and and webserver administration at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers (CNAM). In 2008, she immigrated to Quebec, and is currently an associate researcher at the Laboratory for Research on world music (MLA) at the University of Montreal.Loubet was also a finalist at prices such as Carl Sczuka Prize (Germany, 1990), Cyberstar’98 (Germany, 1997), the Prize Kokoku Dentsu (Tokyo, 1999).
