François Babineau

François Babineau graduated with a B.A. in Design Arts from Concordia University in 1997. He has been working at Galerie Simon Blais, a renowned Montreal gallery, since 1989. Over the past 15 years, he has developed the gallery’s department of contemporary photography by recruiting Quebec renowned photographers including Michel Campeau, Éliane Excoffier and Yann Pocreau. For 8 years, he has been on the board of the Association of Contemporary Art Galleries (AGAC) and, in this role, is part of the development team for Papier, the annual contemporary art fair in Montreal. He is also an art collector.
