Gwenaëlle Denis
Gwenaëlle received a master’s degree in Political Science from the Institute of Political Studies in Lille, France, specializing in culture and development, and also studying literature. Afterwards, she worked as a cultural mediator at the Massenet Theater in Lille; a space dedicated to supporting contemporary theater productions by emerging companies. In 2010, Gwenaëlle moved to Montreal and became involved with Studio XX, where over the years, she has worn a few different hats. Initially responsible for developing The HTMlles Festival, she also worked as the Workshop Coordinator, the Development Coordinator, and in 2016, became Studio XX’s General Coordinator. A feminist who is passionate about literature and music, Gwenaëlle is interested in historical and contemporary sociopolitical questions and issues related to feminism, artistic creation, and interdisciplinary art practices.
