Haeyoung Kim

Born in 1975 in Seoul, Korea. Haeyoung Kim studied classical piano from an early age. She moved to the United States in 1992 and developed an interest in music technology. She attended Berkley College of Music from 1995 until 1999. She began experimenting with various musical applications including Max and C-Sound. Haeyoung moved to New York in 1999 and began working as a sound designer and composer. She worked with cutting edge audio technologies to develop interactive music on the web for MTV and other clients. Recently she has been experimenting with “lo-fi”, 8 bit technologies, performing compositions live at art venues, clubs and galleries in New York.
