Hannah Leja Epstein

Hannah Leja Epstein is an independent game designer and mixed-media artist currently based in Toronto. She has studied Philosophy at the University of King’s College, Folklore at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, and recently completed a residency at the Canadian Film Centre’s Media Lab. Of mixed Latvian and Russian-Jewish heritage, Hannah draws on her liminal identity to drive an aesthetic that is highly critical of established societal parameters, a characteristically reflective behaviour, which can essentially be called “mischievous”.
