Hannah Strauss

Hannah Strauss is an artist and educator based in Montréal / Tiohtià: ke, working mainly with drawing and text. In 2019 she earned her MFA at Concordia University, where she also taught writing, lithography, and monotype. Her practice is centered on questions about how history and memory are intentionally cultivated by repetitive gestures of the body and in language, especially at the intersections of land, space, and archive. She is president of the board at the artist-run centre articule, and is currently developping a collaborative teaching project and a new book work.
