Jamie Q

Jamie Q works in a variety of media including painting, drawing, zine-making, printmaking, and sculpture. Their art was included in Family Shirt, a 2011 exhibition of contemporary Canadian art at Krets Gallery in Malmö, Sweden; in Dirtstar 2011: Take Root as part of the National Queer Arts Festival in San Francisco; and in various exhibitions across Canada. Jamie Q has also distributed their solo and collaborative art zines internationally. They’re interested in the social potential that zines and art objects have for building communities around the circumstances of their production and distribution.
