Kinga Michalska
Kinga Michalska is a queer Polish artist based in Tio’tia:ke, Montreal. Crossing over photography, moving image, somatic practices and relational arts, her work is centered around themes of intimacy, gender, sexuality and healing. Through creating alternative, caring, intimate spaces, she makes process-oriented and vulnerable works that approach socio-political and intersectional issues through tenderness and humour. She holds a BA from Cultural Studies and is an MFA candidate in Photography at Concordia University. Since 2017 she runs Rabarbar – a grassroots queer porn festival in Cracow and Warsaw.
