Laura Sobenes

Laura Sobenes was born and raised in Sao Paulo (SP) and got her BA in Photography in SENAC. She has worked with magazines and taken part in various visual arts projects, such as “Paraty em Foco” (2007). She has also been an art activist involved in different causes and projects. She is part of the group that runs “Saloon das Minas”, a street party in Sao Paulo which had an edition in South Africa during the AfrikaBurn festival in 2014. She founded oGangorra – a co-working space – along with three other friends in her hometown, a project dedicated to urban mobility that connects various initiatives which seek to build a world where people are the priority.
