Li Cornfeld
Li Cornfeld’s research examines the relationship between live performance and media technology in the practices of capitalist production. She received her MA in Performance Studies from New York University and is currently a PhD student in the Department of Art History and Communication Studies at McGill University. Her recent publications include a chapter on Walt Disney and sexual pedagogies in the anthology A History of Evil in Popular Culture, a chapter on feminist speech acts and Harry Potter in the anthology Hermione Granger Saves the World, and a FlowTV critique of spectacles of shame and the Dove Real Beauty campaign.
