Liane Balaban

Liane Balaban is an award-winning actor/performer, and nationally-broadcast poet. She studied journalism at Ryerson University, and has written for Maisonneuve Magazine, Strut, The Gazette, and The National Post. As an editorial assistant at Watch Magazine, she was responsible for recruiting and moderating teen focus groups. She also edited Venus, a zine for teen-aged girls with a focus on sexual health education. In 2000, Liane co-hosted one of Canada’s first online radio shows, on 2kool4radio.com, devoted to broadcasting independent pop music from around the globe. She is currently a video curator for www.ryeberg.com
