Madelyne Beckles

Madelyne Beckles is a performance and visual artist currently based in Montreal. She has lectured on “The Lolita Effect” at York University in 2012, and on “The Cam-Whore and the Fame-Whore” at the Concordia Undergraduate Journal of Art History conference Let’s Get Digital in 2014. Her work artistically and academically deals in subject matters such as narcissism and self-deprecation through an online presence, sexuality, pop culture, and questions of gender and racial identity from a feminist approach.
