Marion Schneider

Marion Schneider is a non-binary digital artist. Their practice is situated within the deviant space created at the intersection of queer artistic practices, ecological art, and digital art. Rooted in hacktivist ideology, their work foregrounds queer and affect-driven thinking that extends beyond questions of nature, gender, and sexuality, aiming to contaminate the collective imagination through an aesthetic and conceptual experience. Their installations, robotic sculptures, design objects, and web-based artworks, invite us to imagine new narratives and to speculate on, or even hack, alternative relationships with the world, technologies, and materials.

Currently pursuing a Master’s in Visual and Media Arts at UQAM (Montreal) and a graduate of Digital Design at ENSAAMA (Paris), Marion Schneider has presented their work in several exhibitions in Montreal (Mutek, Art Mûr, Galerie de l’UQAM, among others) and has received grants such as the BESC-M scholarship (SSHRC), the Mc Abbie Foundation Excellence Scholarship, and the Jean-Pitre and Claude Leclerc Prize.

With a practice at the intersection of video, computational, digital, electronic, interactive, multimedia, cyber, robotic and sound art, Marion has been a member of Ada X since 2024 and has experience in teaching, writing, graphic design, javascript programming, photography, sculpture, video editing, sound design, robotics, and 3d modeling.
