Nancy Tobin

“I have been working as a sound designer for almost 10 years, principally for contemporary dance, new media and theatre productions.

I specialize in creating systems that are very ‘natural’ sounding and very ‘lowcase’ atmospheres.

I consider the loudspeaker as my instrument. I play and interpret sounds through it, as a violonist reveals the emotions of a score by the way the notes resonate off the strings.”

Recent companies: Théâtre Ubu, Le Carré des Lombes, Carbone14.

Recent events: MUTEK, FESTIVAL DU NOUVEAUX CINÉMA
