Nathalie Demers

Nathalie Demers, space and object designer both trained and by profession, is specialized in designing spaces built from large and small objects. By joining two fields, art and design, she wants to express her critical observations on our living environment. She appreciates particularly the use of playful concepts to illustrate her reflections. Her ideas are often a satire of the social dystopia and the corporate spirit. Being in an intercultural relationship and having seen many different realities around the world through her travel experience in about thirty countries, she now wants to think of the future of societies where empathy and understanding should prevail. More than ever, she realized how important it is that both art and design need to be used to bring reflection and bring forth a more human reflection on otherness versus what we think we know.
