Tara Rodgers

Tara Rodgers is a musician, composer, and feminist technology scholar. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of Women’s Studies at the University of Maryland, where she also teaches in the Digital Cultures & Creativity program. She holds an MFA in Electronic Music and Recording Media from Mills College and a PhD in Communication Studies from McGill University. As Analog Tara, she has released electronic music on compilations including Source Records/Germany and the Le Tigre Remix, and exhibited sound art internationally. She founded the website Pinknoises.com in 2000 and published a related collection of interviews, Pink Noises: Women on Electronic Music and Sound, with Duke University Press in 2010.
